Alexandrine Boucher is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Public Health at Université Laval. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Sherbrooke University in 2015. Under the supervision of Dr. France Légaré, chair holder of the Canada Research Chair in Shared Decision Making and Knowledge Translation, she is exploring the factors associated with the burden of care among caregivers of the frail elderly facing housing decisions. She has also worked as a research assistant at the CIUSSS de l’Estrie with a research group working on "Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Complications" and as a kinesiologist with the Public Health Department at the CISSS Bas-Saint-Laurent. Throughout her academic and professional life, she developed her interest in public health and her goal is to improve the health and well-being of Canadians. Her research interests are shared decision making, patient decision aids, knowledge translation and health promotion and prevention.
