2014 Strategic Impact Grant -- FRAMING-LTC: Frailty and Recognizing Appropriate Medications IN Geriatrics and Long-Term Care (SIG 2014-M1)
Dr. Susan Bronskill is a Senior Scientist and Program Lead at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), an Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation at the University of Toronto, an Adjunct Scientist at Women’s College Research Institute, and an Associate Scientist at Sunnybrook Research Institute. She received an MSc in Health Administration from the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University. She makes use of population-based administrative databases to study transitions between health care sectors and her research focusses on improving quality of care, health services utilization and health care outcomes for older adults — including persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, women, and those who are frail. An additional focus of her research is optimizing medication use in community and long-term care settings. Dr. Bronskill has a strong record of grant funding including a Canadian Institutes of Health Research New Investigator Award in the Area of Aging.
