2013 Core Research Program Grant -- Reengineering the Discharge of Elderly Patients from Intensive Care (CORE 2013-12)

Peter Dodek is an Intensivist and Chair of the Critical Care Working Group within the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver and a Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He also serves as an advisor to the Critical Care Working Group of the B.C. Ministry of Health. Dr. Dodek completed his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia, his medical degree at the University of Toronto, a residency in internal medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in California, a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of California at San Francisco, and an MHSc (clinical epidemiology) at the University of British Columbia.  His research interests centre around patient safety, organizational culture, moral distress and understanding the determinants of outcomes of critically ill patients.
