Nancy Mayo, BSc, MSc, PhD

Dr. Mayo is a Medical Scientist in the Division of Clinical Epidemiology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and Professor of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She obtained her Diploma of Physical Therapy and BSc. in Physical Therapy from Queen's University. She subsequently completed a Master of Rehabilitation Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University, followed by a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, also from McGill University. Dr. Mayo’s research focuses on function, disability, and quality of life in Canada's vulnerable populations. Specifically, her research focuses on patient-centered methodologies to identify gaps in patterns of care, developing novel tools for measurement and monitoring of health outcomes that matter to patients (symptoms, function, and quality of life) and developing and evaluating interventions designed to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations such as elderly.
