National seniors Day
October 1st is the United Nations International Day for Older Persons (UNIDOP), as well as National Seniors Day in Canada. The 2018 theme for the UNIDOP is Celebrating Older Human Rights Champions, while the Government of Canada encourages us to take today to celebrate older adults across Canada, especially those in our own lives. The Canadian Frailty Network joins in recognizing the vital contributions that older adults make to our communities, and in committing to raise awareness of the particular issues that affect older adults—today, and every day.
