Meet our 2017 Summer Students and their Supervisors
The CFN Summer Student Awards provide undergraduate students with valuable research experience, while developing their knowledge of the opportunities and challenges in caring for an aging population.
Preference is given to applicants that have demonstrated current or prior personal or professional interest in aging and/or frailty through pursuing aging-related courses or specializations, or relevant work, community service or leadership experience. In CFN’s fIfth annual Summer Student Awards Competition, 11 students were funded, including two through our partnership with the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF). The 11 recipients represent many disciplines at 8 host institutions in 5 provinces.
Of note, one of our new Network Investigators is an alumni of the CFN Interdisciplinary Fellowship Program. Dr. Kimberley Wilson was a member of the 2014 cohort, and is now an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph.
