Dr. Chignell is a Professor of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering faculty at the University of Toronto, and Director of the Knowledge Media Design Institute at the University of Toronto. Dr. Chignell received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Canterbury, subsequently obtained his MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio State University. His research interests relate to healthcare ergonomics, the design of healthcare interfaces, hypertext and information retrieval, and how devices and applications can measure and amplify human capability.
