Manager, Communications and Corporate Initiatives

As the Manger of Communications and Corporate Initiatives, Kate works closely with CFN management and staff in supporting the Network’s programs and building public awareness and Network visibility.  She joined CFN in late 2012, with over 25 years’ management experience spanning corporate, government, academic and not-for-profit sectors, including Queen’s University, Empire Life, Manulife Financial, BMO Financial Group and provincial and municipal government. In addition to strategic integrated communications planning, her expertise includes government and media relations, event planning, compliance, operations management, award-winning advertising and marketing communications, incentive programs and sales promotion. Like many in the Network, Kate has a personal interest in issues related to care of older adults and supporting their caregivers, as a remote/respite caregiver for a parent living with Alzheimer’s, and previously in launching a service helping healthy older adults to continue to thrive at home. Kate is a graduate of Western University and St. Lawrence College.
