Amy Hsu, PhD The Ottawa Hospital

Dr. Hsu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow based at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), with affiliations to the University of Ottawa, Institute for Clinical and Evaluative Sciences (ICES) and the Health System Performance Research Network (HSPRN). Prior to joining Dr. Manuel’s team at OHRI, she was a Policy Analyst at Health Canada. Her research interests include topics related to the economic and social implications of an aging population, especially its impact on the use and provision of long-term health care services. She is currently working on several projects that use health administrative data housed at ICES, to estimate the health care use and spending among Canadians towards the end of life, and to examine the health (care) trajectories of older adults with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
