2017 Catalyst Grant Competition (Medication Optimization)-–A Collaborative Intervention for Streamlining Medication Appropriateness and Deprescribing within Integrated Health-Care Teams (CAT2017-10)
Dr. Isenor is an Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is an investigator with the Canadian Center for Vaccinology and has a Scientific Staff appointment at the IWK Health Centre. She works clinically in Geriatrics at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
She teaches a variety of pharmacotherapeutic topics and a critical appraisal/evidence-based medicine course to pharmacy students at Dalhousie University. Her research interests include evaluation of the expanded scope of practice of pharmacists, including immunizing and prescribing; assessing the use of drug and health information resources by students and clinicians; and geriatric-related research, with a focus on appropriate medication use, including deprescribing.
