Isabelle Marcoux is an Assistant Professor in the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, and is cross-appointed with the School of Psychology. As a researcher, she is also affiliated with the Centre for Research and Intervention on Suicide and Euthanasia at the University of Québec at Montréal, and with the Centre for Research Charles-Le Moyne Hospital (University of Sherbrooke). Dr. Marcoux obtained her doctorate in community psychology from the University of Québec at Montréal, then followed this with postdoctoral training in the Netherlands (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and France (University of Nantes). Her dissertation and postdoctoral work covered factors influencing public opinion about euthanasia, and other issues of informed consent and participation in the decision-making process regarding treatment. Her research program focuses on factors influencing the end-of-life decision-making process.
