Lawrence (Larry) Mróz has worked in health research and education, most recently working in psychosocial oncology and health behaviour change in men diagnosed with prostate cancer. His doctoral research used qualitative methods to explore how gender shapes couple’s diet and health behaviours, especially how masculine ideals limit men’s self-care health practices in the face of life-limiting illness. He’s interested in further exploring how gender shapes the attitudes and behaviours towards Advance Care Planning in men and women. He has recently managed the BC Centre for Palliative Care’s social media, and has worked on the iGAP study (Improving Advance Care Planning in General Practice).
