Reid Whitlock, BSc, BEd University of Manitoba

Reid Whitlock is currently an MSc student in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. He works in the Division of Nephrology at Seven Oaks Hospital as part of multidisciplinary research group focused on the care of patients with chronic kidney disease. Reid’s research project for the 2016 CFN Fellowship is to develop a model to predict the benefit or harm from dialysis in frail elderly people with Chronic Kidney Disease in order to inform an important discussion about the choice of dialysis or palliative care in the case of kidney failure.
