Dr. Goodarzi’s research is focused on addressing the needs of frail older adults across the continuum of care. Her work has focused on improving the accuracy of tools used to detect and diagnose mental illness, and their implementation. Currently, she is working on implementing clinical pathways for frailty, and depression in Long Term Care. She is also working on understanding how mental illness and neuropsychological symptoms can be treated in older adults with and without dementia, and how we can better use virtual care for older adults in the setting of the pandemic.
