Focus on Research: HQP Voices
Matt Leyenaar, an IFP, emphasized this: “One of the indirect benefits for me of being involved with CFN has been to understand how a research network operates. I think that the Network Centres of Excellence program has been very valuable, not just for the study of frailty, but for many disciplines of research. It highlights accomplishments and illuminates gaps where more research focus is needed. It provides opportunities for uptake of research findings by clinicians and for research to be clinically informed. These are not things that are easy to achieve and having a network that is explicitly tasked with producing them is incredibly helpful for early career researchers like myself.”
