Emily Hladkowicz is a PhD student in the Aging & Health program at Queen’s University under the supervision of Dr. Jordan Miller. She completed her Psychology degree at the University of Guelph and Masters in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She works at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute with Dr. Daniel McIsaac’s Aging Innovation in Perioperative Medicine and Surgery (AIMS) Research group. Her research will focus on synthesizing how successful postoperative transitions have been defined in the literature and to understand whether these definitions align with the needs and values of older adults with frailty and their caregivers.
