Lavan Sivarajah

Lavan is currently completing his final year of the Honours Life Sciences Co-op program at McMaster University. During his undergraduate studies, he was involved in a wide variety of rehabilitation projects such as the use of motion sensors in pediatric walking tests, and the evaluation of a mobile app used by physiotherapists to assess walking in stroke patients. He currently works as a Research Student at the Geriatric Education and Research in Aging Sciences (GERAS) Centre, where he completed his final co-op term. At GERAS, he was involved in multiple studies including FitHips, a study that aims to improve the pre-operative health status of patients undergoing hip replacement surgery through a multimodal intervention. Outside of his studies, Lavan enjoys volunteering at school and in the community.
