Principal Investigator: Keeping our Nlaka’pamux Elders at Home -IH-016

Dr. Sonia Singh is a hospitalist physician and osteoporosis consultant based at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, British Columbia.  She was the Regional Medical Director for Research in the Fraser Health (FH) Authority from 2011 -2019. She has been successful with a number of research grant awards from both national and provincial research granting agencies in the area of falls and fracture prevention. She currently holds an Implementation Science Team grant from Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.

Dr. Singh has worked with the Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council and the Nlaka’pamux Services Society for nine years including the preliminary engagement and participatory research project with Elders, the Safe for Elders Fall Prevention program, the Home Improvement program, and the Elder Action program.
