CFN Researcher named to Order of Canada

Congratulations to to Dr. Deborah Cook, who was made an Officer of the Order of Canada on June 30th, recognized for her contributions to the improvement of global intensive care unit procedures and for her leadership in the creation of a national network for critical care research. 

Dr. Cook is one of CFN’s founding investigators involved in the original proposal to the NCE program, and her PROSPECT pilot trial (Probiotics: Prevention of Severe Pneumonia and Endotracheal Colonization Trial) is currently funded under CFN’s Core Research Program.

She will be invited to receive the honour at a ceremony at a later date.

Established in 1967 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Officer of the Order of Canada recognizes a lifetime of achievement and merit of a high degree, especially in service to Canada or to humanity at large.
