Students receive funding for summer activities
Canadian Frailty Network today announced the recipients of its Summer Student Awards — ten students from seven degree programs at eight universities across the country.
“Mentoring and development of highly qualified personnel (HQP) is an important component of CFN’s mandate, and our funding from the federal Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) program”, said CFN Board Chair, the Honourable Sharon Carstairs. “Our Summer Student Awards are unique in providing students with interdisciplinary experience, while developing their knowledge of the opportunities and challenges in caring for an aging population”.
CFN-funded students work with supervisors from their disciplines, and meet regularly with mentors from a complimentary discipline.
