2019 Knowledge Translation Grant — What are the impacts, benefits and outcomes of paramedic palliative support at home? (KT2019-02)

Alix Carter is an Associate Professor and Attending Medical Staff in the Dalhousie Department of Emergency Medicine. She serves as Director, Division of EMS and the EHS Medical Director of Research. Dr. Carter holds a fellowship in EMS and a Master’s in Public Health for Yale University. She attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario and completed Emergency Medicine Residency in Manitoba. Dr. Carter’s research interest is in EMS system design, with her primary program of research focusing currently on the Paramedics Providing Palliative Care at Home Program.
