Julia Borges is a MHE (Master of Health Ethics) student at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. She obtained a BSc from the University of Waterloo with a Minor in Gerontology, where her Honours Thesis included collection of an inventory of assessment tools used in comprehensive geriatric assessment in the Waterloo-Wellington region. She has also worked as a research student with the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Regional Geriatric Program Central. Her current research interests include exploring the ethical complexities faced by older adults in end-of-life decision-making and medical assistance in dying.
