David Finnbogason, CPA, CA James Richard & Sons, Limited

David Finnbogason joined James Richardson & Sons, Limited as Vice-President, Corporate Development in 2009. Prior to joining JRSL, David worked for Richardson Partners Financial Limited as Vice-President Wealth Planning and later assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until moving into his present role.  Prior to this he worked for The Great-West Life Assurance Company and Assante Corporation.  He has extensive experience in the management of restructuring and integration projects including the design and development of organizational and governance structures and systems and operations integration.

In his present role he is responsible for the real estate operations and real estate investments of the company.  He also participates in JRSL’s strategic planning and investment activities and provides oversight of certain of the JRSL operating subsidiaries. He currently sits on the boards of Lombard Realty Limited, Richardson Financial Group Limited and Wynward Insurance Group Limited.  David is also a member of the KingSett Growth Funds Advisory board and is a Trustee of the James Richardson & Sons, Limited Pension Plan. 

David is a graduate of the University of Manitoba- Asper School of Business (1981) and is a Chartered Accountant.  He is also Treasurer of the Manitoba Historical Society.
