Dr. Johnston researches palliative and end-of-life care as Principal Investigator for the Network of End of Life Studies and Advanced Breast Cancer Supportive Care (abc-sc). She is also senior Epidemiologist, Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit, Cancer Care Nova Scotia, and cross-appointed to the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology.
