Julie received her Masters of Public Health (specialization in Gerontology) from Lakehead University. Julie is currently working on health policy research with Dr. Samir Sinha in partnership with the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) at Ryerson University. She has been involved in the background research, stakeholder engagement, and co-authorship of white papers on topics including adult vaccinations, frailty and working caregivers. Julie previously worked as Network Manager for BeACCoN (Better Access and Care for Complex Needs), a federal initiative funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR), connecting research and evaluation to policy and practice to improve care for high needs, high-cost patients and their caregivers in the community.
