Melody Maximos

Melody Maximos is in the MSc program in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. She completed her undergraduate degree at Western University in Physiology and Psychology, and her undergraduate thesis project in Child Social Development. Melody worked as a research assistant for an occupational and physical therapy lab, where she became interested in rehabilitation programs for frail older adults living in the community. Her current research interests are in slow stream rehabilitation and the implementation of slow stream rehabilitation programs in community for frail older adults returning to home. Melody is interested in the benefits of the program (physiological and physiological), the intensity, duration and frequency being used in these programs. She is also interested in comparing them to current exercise recommendations for frail older adults set by the American College of Sport Medicine.
