Marg McKee has undergraduate degrees in nursing and psychology, a master’s degree in clinical psychology, and a PhD in counselling psychology. She has worked for many years as a counsellor in private practice, and has come to academic life later in her career. She has a special interest in working with women and families, and with people with life-threatening illness. Her research and writing centres around the relationship between theory and practice, how students and experienced practitioners link knowing and doing, and more specifically, how counsellors can become more critically self-reflective about the sources of their knowing.
