Noemie Roy is a Master’s student in Architecture at Laval University working on the improvement of a decision support tool addressed to people aged 65 years and older in a severe loss of autonomy. The purpose of this research is to involve them in the decision about their choice of living, either to stay at home or to move to another place. Her project is under the supervision of Carole Després, from the GIRBa (Interdisciplinary Research Group on Suburbs) and France Légaré, chair holder of the Canada Research Chair in Implementation of Shared Decision Making in Primary Care. Noemie obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture at Laval University in 2013 and a professional Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2015. Her research interests concern shared decision making, patient’s decision aid and the impact of the architectural environment.
