Rick is a Canada Research Chair in Patient-Reported Outcomes and holds positions as Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Trinity Western and as research scientist with the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHEOS) at Providence. He leads a program of research that focusses on the validation and utilization of patient-reported outcome (PRO) instruments and quality of life assessments in various health care contexts, including those for people with chronic life-limiting illnesses. He currently holds three CIHR grants, speaking to the calibre of his work and his contribution to Canadian healthcare.
Jennifer is a tenured Associate Professor at the UBC School of Nursing. Her capacity and the quality of her work as a researcher has been recognized though the number of national scholarships and awards she has received. She is recognized as having significant methodological expertise, and is sought after as a reviewer for grants and publications and is frequently invited to consult on educational and practice issues. Her research approaches “give voice” by considering the patient and family perspectives, as well as the points of view of those providing care to them.
Congratulations Jennifer and Rick!
