Prince George event addresses aging in rural and remote Canada
On November 6th and 7th, 2019 the British Columbia Academic Health Sciences Network partnered with the Canadian Frailty Network to present Caring for Older Adults: Health, Wellness & Person-Centred Care in Prince George, BC.
The symposium attracted over 150 delegates including healthcare decision-makers, physicians, clinicians, patient partners, older adults interested in the future of their own care, and caregivers. Topics covered included, among others, avoiding frailty and dementia, healthy aging, seniors care and positive outcomes in BC. Featured speakers included John Muscedere, CFN Scientific Director & CEO, CFN Principal Investigators Linda Lee, Rick Sawatzky and CFN Education and Training Committee Member Annette Garm.
