CFN well represented at IAGG 2017

July 22, 2017

The International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics World Congress (IAGG) is the largest worldwide conference on aging, with over 6,000 attendees from over 75 countries. This year’s IAGG was held in San Francisco from July 23-27, in collaboration with the Gerontological Society of America, and featured a theme of Global Aging and Health: Bridging Science, Policy, and Practice.

Canada was well-represented, with the CIHR Institute of Aging spearheading a “Canadian pavilion” in the exhibit hall, and hosting a reception with CFN and other Canadian organizations. CFN had a strong presence with close to CFN Network Investigators and HQP involved in symposiums, presentations and posters. CFN also presented a pre-conference workshop on July 22nd: Implementation of Frailty Screening in Health Systems, featuring CFN Scientific Director Dr. John Muscedere, together with Network Investigators Dr. John Hirdes and Dr. Ken Rockwood, and international Network partners Dr. Matteo Cesari of France and Dr. Andrew Clegg of the UK.
